Donald Trump Disparages Taylor Swift As Eagles Visit White House

After defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, the Philadelphia Eagles traveled to the White House to celebrate. However, during the celebrations, President Donald Trump made news by disparaging music diva Taylor Swift.
Trump used the occasion to criticize Swift, who has grown to love the Chiefs and is romantically involved with their star player, Travis Kelce, while applauding the team on their thrilling 40–22 victory.
During his remarks, Trump recalled watching the game in person, alongside Swift, stating, “It was a fantastic game. A bit surprise, but right from the beginning of the first quarter of the major game, which I was there I watched in person. Taylor Swift and I were present; how did that go? Trump has frequently criticized Swift in public, and this comment is the latest in a string of remarks he has made about her.
“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” In September 2024, after Swift endorsed Kamala Harris for president, Trump posted a message on Truth Social saying, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”, Trump said earlier in the year in a statement regarding Swift’s Super Bowl booing on his Truth Social platform.
Even though Swift was the target of lighthearted teasing, the remainder of the event went without a hitch. Trump stated his support for the well-liked “Tush Push” play, which was being considered for possible NFL banning.
Jalen Hurts, the Eagles’ quarterback, was said to have skipped the event because of “scheduling conflicts,” and Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, who was engaged in a previous White House ceremony incident, was also not present.
