Yoruba Nation Leader, Akintoye, Sunday Igboho, Others Pictured In High Spirits After Agitator Regained Freedom
Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, a Yoruba self-determination group, has released photographs showing Sunday Adeyemo, Yoruba Nation activist, more commonly known as Sunday Igboho, after his release from detention and handing over to Prof Banji Akintoye, the leader of the Yoruba Nation groups.
The photographs from the group confirmed Igboho’s release as the agitator was pictured among the Ilana Omo Oodua leaders, Prof Banji Akintoye; Prof Wale Adeniran and his Benin Republic based lawyer, Prof Malik Falola.
Igboho was also flanked by his wife among other supporters who were at his Benin Republic residence on Monday.
Igboho had been detained in a prison facility in the Republic of Benin, after he was arrested with Ropo, his wife, at Cardinal Bernardin International Airport, Cotonou, while on his way to Germany in July 2021.
