A pair of beautiful doppelgangers from different continents with a seven-year age gap have met up after discovering their uncanny likeness online.

Bianca Mihai, 18, a singer from the Romanian city of Buzau, learned about Palestinian-Syrian model Lana Al Beik, 25, through a photographer pal who spotted they were the spitting image of each other.

Singer Bianca was told about model Lana, who lives in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), by friend Alexandra Danciu, could not believe her eyes and she showed the images to Bianca and her parents.

Bianca said:

My parents showed the pictures to my grandmother who said ‘wow, where did you take those images? Very beautiful Bianca, how stunning you are’.

Coocindentally the Palestinian-Syrian model apparently stumbled across her doppelganger online through a loved one.

Lara said:

One day my mum was on Instagram when she asked me about a video. I said, ‘mum, I don’t sing. That’s not me there’.

She said, ‘seriously, that isn’t you?’

I asked her: “You don’t even know your own daughter?

She thought I was on stage singing, but it was Bianca.

According to reports, despite living on different continents and sharing different religions, the pair decided to meet up in Dubai.

The Romanian singer travelled 3,400 kilometres (2,113 miles) to the UAE to meet her lookalike with the help of her photographer friend and the NGO ‘Freedom Station’, according to local media.

The doppelgangers met on a Dubai beach and were reportedly overwhelmed with emotion.

Bianca said:

It really is something magical.

The pair posed for snaps and has already agreed to meet up again in Romania.
