Iheanacho Voted “Man of the Match” As Leicester City Beat West Ham United
On Saturday night, Leicester City fans have voted Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho man of the match, after the Foxes hard-earned 2-1 away victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium.
Iheanacho got 38.4% of the Leicester fans’ votes, while the second goal scorer, Demarai Gray, got the second position with 25% votes.
Hamza Choudhury, who was also one of the Foxes’ key player in the match, came third with 21.6% votes.
Iheanacho who played for 90 minutes in the match, won a penalty for the Foxes in the 12th minute after he was brought down inside the penalty box by Lukasz Fabianski. Gray played and missed the penalty.
The Super Eagles forward scored with a header to place Brendan Rodgers’ men in front five minutes before the halftime break.
On the stroke of halftime, Pablo Fornals equalised for West Ham. But six minutes before the hour mark, Gray brought back Leicester in the lead when he scored the winning goal.
Currently, Iheanacho has now scored three Premier League goals in four appearances for Foxes this season.
