President Buhari Appoints AMCON Chairman
Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has just sent the name of Edward Lametek Adamu to the Senate for them to confirm as the Chairman of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).
That was contained in a letter the President sent to the Senate on Tuesday. Also contained in the letter are the names of members of the board of the FIRS.
The names include Ehile Adetola Aigbangbee (South South), Adewale Ogunyomade (South West), A. Ikeme Osakwe (South East), James Yakwen Ayuba (North Central), Ado Danjuma (North West), and Adam Baba Mohammed (North East).
The President also named the representatives of the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to include, Fatima Z. Hayatu (Ministry of Finance), Godwin Emefiele (Central Bank of Nigeria), and Ladidi Bara’atu Mohammed (Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation).
Others whose names were also sent to the Senate are Maagbe S. Adaa (Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission), Umar Ajiya (Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation), Deputy Comptroller General T.M. Isah (Nigeria Customs Service) and the Registrar General of the Corporate Affairs Commission.
