Oyo Governor, Makinde, Issues Proclamation On 9th Session Of Assembly
The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has proclaimed the 9th Session of the State House of Assembly inauguration.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa made the announcement in a statement.
On Saturday, under the Governor’s signature, the proclamation was issued to the House’s Clerk, Ms. Foluke Oyediran, according to the statement.
The statement indicated that the proclamation is pursuant to the provision of the 1999 Constitution (As Amended).
According to the law stipulates that immediately after his being sworn in, the elected state governor shall have the power bestowed on him to issue a proclamation for the holding of the first session of the House of Assembly of the State concerned.
In the proclamation, Makinde also declared that the House shall hold its first sitting on June 10, at 10:00 a.m.
