2023 Election: Buhari, APC Leaders Will Resolve Zoning Crisis – Shettima
Former Borno State Governor, Senator Kashim Shettima, has expressed the optimism that President Muhammadu Buhari and other All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders will resolve the controversy over where the 2023 presidential ticket of the party should be zoned to.
Contrary to insinuation in some quarters that the ruling party was on the verge of collapse over zoning, Shettima, who currently represents Borno Central, described the APC as a
strongly- bonded and cohesive political family that won’t disintegrate or divide over presidential ticket.
Shettima spoke in Ado-Ekiti during a two-day capacity building programme organised by Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi for political appointees and top civil servants in the state.
Shettima expressed the confidence that the issues in the APC will be handled with tact and wisdom by party top hierarchy of the party.
Don’t forget that our party still controls the presidency. We have a leader and other competent leaders that can manage every crisis situation.
At the appropriate time, our leaders will sit and take the most apt decision that will resolve the issue.
APC is a party that is united and nothing can break us. I am confident that we will win the 2023 presidential election, because of the unity of purpose and desire to deliver for Nigerians,
he said.
