Supreme Court Adjourns Zamfara Review To March 17
The Supreme Court has adjourned the determination of the application seeking review of its judgment in the March 9 governorship election in Zamfara State to Tuesday, March 17th, 2020.
Headed by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad, a five-member panel adjourned the hearing to make it possible for the APC faction’s counsel, Robert Clark (SAN), to regularise his documents.
In the Zamfara application, the APC faction believed to be on the side of the former governor of the state, Abdulaziz Yari, is requesting the Supreme Court to review its consequential judgement of May 25th, 2019, which declared that votes polled by the APC as wasted votes and instructed the swearing of the party with the highest lawful votes, which was PDP, as the election winners.
