NYSC Members Monthly Allowance Increased To N33,000
The National Youth Service Corps’ Director-General, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim, has said that the monthly allowance of corps members’ has been increased to thirty three thousand Naira (N33,000.00) only.
He said the Federal Government approved thirty three thousand Naira (N33,000.00) only in line with the new national minimum wage.
Previously, the monthly allowance of corps members was nineteen thousand Naira (N19,800.00) only.
According to a statement by NYSC on its Facebook page, Ibrahim made the disclosure while speaking during a visit to Bauchi State.
He explained that:
contrary to the various amounts being circulated on the social media, the sum of N33,000 had been approved as the new rate.
Ibramim also said the government has made provision for the new allowance in the year 2020 national budget. He added that payment would start, as soon as the funds are released.
