EFCC Denies Chairman Said “Coronavirus Is Caused By Corruption”, But Evidence Proves He Did (Video)
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied that the anti-graft agency’s Acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu said that “Coronavirus is caused by corruption”, while speaking at the passing out parade of two hundred and eighty one (281) cadets of the EFCC Detective Inspector Course-5, at the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna on Tuesday, February 18th, 2020.
In a tweet made on the agency’s official Twitter handle, it alleged that the report was false and misleading. The EFCC claimed that Magu said:
Tackling corruption is a clarion call, given that corruption is a huge burden to the nation. It is worse than Cancer, Ebola Virus, Coronavirus and all other deadly diseases put together.
This information is false and misleading.

However, a video evidence proved that Magu said he “strongly believe Coronavirus is caused by corruption”.
In a viral video, the acting EFCC Chairman was heard saying
Corruption is the biggest strategy to human kind. Your excellency, corruption is worse than all the diseases now running about.
And I strongly believe, Your Excellency, that even the Coronavirus is caused by corruption.
