A 50-year old landlord in the Amuloko area of Ibadan in Oyo State was arrested and arraigned before a court by the Police, for killing his own tenant for allegedly sleeping with his wife in his absence. He pleaded guilty for the charges levelled against him.

According to PM Express, the landlord claimed that the deceased, popularly known as Raja, had been secretly secretly having an affair with his wife before his death. However, the wife claimed that Raja was only helping her sexually, because she was being sexually starved by her husband who usually travelled for several weeks without touching her.

Raja was went missing on November 27th, 2019, and was found in a bush near their house.

Residents reported a bad smell emanating from the bush to police. Upon thoroughly searching the bush, the body was eventually discovered with multiple machete wounds. Autopsy stated that the victim died as a result of profuse bleeding.

Thereafter, a rigorous two weeks investigation and fact finding by the police intelligence team ensued. The landlord’s wife willingly confessed that her husband may have been responsible. When questioned why she suspected her man, she revealed that the tenant was caught sleeping with her in a hotel.

Flavision gathered that a thorough search of the landlord’s bedroom aided the police to find and take possession of the weapon used in killing Raja.

The landlord was promptly arrested and after further interrogation, the police concluded that the man planned to kill his tenant after he allegedly caught him with his wife in a hotel. He claimed that originally, it was not his intention to kill the deceased on the fateful day, but Raja became violent and he had to defend himself, which led to Raja’s eventual death.
