Man Arrested For Beating”Actor” To Death In Ikorodu
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Amos Ekuma for allegedly murdering a dry cleaner, popularly known in Ikorodu, Lagos, Nigeria as “Actor”.
According to a statement released by the spokesperson of the State Police Command, Bala Elkana, on Saturday at about 2.00pm, Ekuma of Number 59 Ajipon Street, Ohio, Ogun State, surrendered himself to the Police in Ikorodu. He told police that he was in his shop, along Sabo road by Kokoro Abu, Ikorodu, the previous day at about 7.00pm, when a dry cleaner occupying an adjacent shop his, popularly known in the neighbourhood as “Actor” attacked him with a iron rod, because of an exchange of words between them earlier that day, which was resolved by their neighbours.
According to Ekuma, he pushed the dry cleaner, who fell down and was rushed to Ikorodu General Hospital for treatment. But “Actor” died shortly after admission.
In the police statement, Elkana said the the dry cleaner’s corpse was deposited in the mortuary for autopsy.
