Nigeria Immigration Service Changes Recruitment Portal
The spokesman of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Sunday James, has disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, March 14th, 2020 that it has changed the portal for its recruitment exercise, which was announced on Friday, March 13th.
He said the NIS had changed the recruitment portal to www.immigrationrecruitment.org.ng which is currently active. He added that the NIS made the decision in order to make the portal more accessible to applicants.
The statement read in part,
Consequently, the earlier portal advertised: www.nisrecruitment.org.ng is no longer in use and not tenable.
The NIS spokesman reminded the public that the recruitment exercise is free and apart from the change of portal, all information for recruitment contained in the public notice remained unchanged.
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) had published the recruitment advertisement in national dailies on Friday, March 13th, 2020.
However, applicants were complaining that the portal was not accessible.
An applicant complained to Flavision in the evening on Friday, March 13th:
Each time I tried to log in, it comes out with an error.
The NIS was yet to compensate applicants by extending the closing date for applications, due to the glitches with the original portal.
