Nigerian Navy Suspends Training Of New Recruits
The Nigerian Navy has suspended the resumption for training of its new recruits who are candidates of the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School, Batch 30, as a result of the rampaging COVID-19 pandemic.
The Defence Headquarters, Abuja, which stated this on Tuesday, May 5th, 2020, added that the candidates, who were successful in written examinations, were initially scheduled to start training at the NNBTS, Onne, Port Harcourt in Rivers State on Friday, May 8th, 2020.
The DMO Coordinator, Maj. Gen. John Enenche, said,
The navy has suspended the resumption for training of successful candidates of the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School Batch 30. Their resumption date is no longer feasible in view of the current national efforts at containing the spread of COVID-19.
