I Only Do Money Rituals In Movies, Stop Sending Your Account Numbers – Yul Edochie
Nigerian actor, Yul Edochie, has decried the high level of begging he’s experiencing on social media these days, since the beginning of COVID-19 lockdown in the country.
He explained that he is also feeling the heat of the shutdown on socioeconomic activities in Nigeria, following the stay-at-home order, as part of government’s efforts to contain coronavirus pandemic.
Edochie, who has become more active on his social media platforms since the lockdown began, took to Twitter page to warn certain set of individuals to stop ending their bank account details to him.
He tweeted:
Some folks are still sending me account numbers, after 3 weeks of lockdown.
Come on now guys, na all of us dey the matter oo.
3 weeks nothing don enter, no work.
Na for film I dey do money ritual, it’s not real.
I dey wait for alert from Federal Govt.

Edochie is not the Nigerian celebrity who is complaining because of being bombarded with bank account details. First, it was Reno Omokri who called those group of people “e-almajiri” on Twitter, because they prowl social media platforms to drop their bank account details, without bothering to read the person’s post before doing so. According to him, these people were taking advantage of COVID-19 lockdown to beg for money.
And just a few days ago, Nigerian comedienne, Wofai Fada, lamented over the same issue. She even shot a video to support her lamentation.
