Alleged Mastermind Of Buhari’s Fake Wedding Arraigned In Court
The alleged mastermind of a fake news regarding President Buhari’s wedding with a mysterious second wife, Kabiru Mohamad, was arraigned before a magistrate court in Kano.
The Department of State Services (DSS) arraigned the suspect before the court on Tuesday, January 14th, 2020. He was charged of injurious falsehood and defamation, which are contrary to section 392 and 393 of the Kano Panel Code.
Kabiru faces a three-year jail term without the option of fine, if convicted of the charges. Many people now speculate that making sure Kabiru gets a jail term would serve as a warning to other social media gossipers.
