Reno Omokri Wants Experiment To Identify Twitter Almajiris Who Rove About Social Media
Activist, Reno Omokri want to conduct an experiment to identify Twitter Almajiris who just rove about social media looking for where to drop their bank account details.
This came after several groups of people on Twitter resorted to begging celebrities for money.
He tweeted:
An experiment to identify twitter almajiris who just rove about social media looking for where to drop their account details:
If you are an e-almajiri, drop your account details. Nothing will be paid to you. We just want to do a census of how many of you there are
The #CoronaVirus lockdown is bringing out the best and worst in human nature. Some see the misery and use philanthropy to help the less privileged, others see misery as opportunity to scam people. Crisis times bring out more of what‘s ALREADY in you
A Twitter user, uyiano baba (@Maxiuyi), replied by ignorantly dropping his bank details, begging for money:
***42931** igbineweka Osamuyi, Polaris bank, thank u so much sir
And Omokri shot back:
You are an example of what I am teaching. #CoronaVirus lockdown is bringing out the beggar in you. You no longer read posts. You have only one response to any post you see. Your account details. By the time begging embeds itself in your DNA, you will have poisoned your lineage!
In another tweet, he wrote:
If you are from the SE, this #CoronaVirus lockdown condition is not enough to make you beg. After the civil war in 1970, Igbos were poor. But what shocked the world was that they did not beg. Instead, they worked and traded their way out of poverty
