Coronavirus: Three Chinese Nationals Quarantined In Plateau
Health officials in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State have quarantined three (3) Chinese citizens, due to fear they may be carrying the infectious coronavirus disease.
The Plateau State commissioner of Health, Dr. Nimkong Ndam, confirmed this to our reporters today, February 29th, 2020.
According to the commissioner, the Chinese nationals were suspected having arrived Plateau on Friday, February 28th, 2020 from Ethiopia. He said that was their purpose of coming to the state.
He said that the three persons have been placed under isolation at a health centre for proper tests to be conducted on them by health officials sent to the area.
The current coronavirus outbreak was first reported in Wuhan city, China, on December 32st, 2019.
