Coronavirus: NCDC Confirms 221 New Cases In Nigeria; 60 In Plateau, 33 In FCT, 26 In Kaduna, Others
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said it has confirmed two hundred and twenty one (221) new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nigeria.
Of the newly-confirmed 221 coronavirus cases in the country, 60 were recorded in Plateau, 33 in FCT, 26 in Kaduna, 18 in Rivers, 17 in Lagos, 9 in Enugu, 9 in Kwara, 9 in Ondo, 6 in Nasarawa, 5 in Gombe, 5 in Anambra, 4 in Delta, 4 in Abia, 3 in Imo, 2 in Edo, 2 in Ogun, 2 in Oyo, 2 in Osun, 1 in Bauchi and 1 in Kano.
As of Wednesday, August 26th, 2020 there are 53,021 confirmed coronavirus cases in Nigeria. 40,281 patients have been discharged, with 1,010 deaths.
