Coronavirus: NCDC Confirms 601 New Cases In Nigeria; 404 In Lagos, 37 In FCT, 19 In Oyo, Others
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said it has confirmed six hundred and one (601) new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nigeria.
Of the newly-confirmed 601 coronavirus cases in the country, 404 were reported in Lagos, 37 in the FCT, 19 in Oyo, 14 in Ondo, 13 in Abia, 13 in Enugu, 13 in Kaduna, 12 in Edo, 12 in Kano, 11 in Kwara, 10 in Ebonyi, 7 in Nasarawa, 6 in Ogun, 5 in Osun, 5 in Delta, 5 in Niger, 4 in Plateau, 4 in Bayelsa, 3 in Katsina, 2 in Ekiti and 2 in Imo.
As of Saturday, August 22nd, 2020 there are 51,905 confirmed coronavirus cases in Nigeria. 38,767 patients have been discharged, with 997 deaths.
