Coronavirus: NCDC Confirms 593 New Cases In Nigeria; 186 In Plateau, 172 In Lagos, 62 In FCT, Others
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said it has confirmed five hundred and ninety three (593) new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nigeria.
Of the newly-confirmed 593 coronavirus cases in the country, 186 in Plateau, 172 in Lagos, 62 in the FCT, 27 in Oyo, 25 in Delta, 20 in Rivers, 19 in Ondo, 18 in Edo, 17 in Kaduna, 12 in Enugu, 10 in Akwa Ibom, 7 in Ogun, 6 in Abia, 6 in Gombe, 3 in Kano and 3 in Osun.
As of Wednesday, August 19th, 2020 there are 50,488 confirmed coronavirus cases in Nigeria. 37,304 patients have been discharged, with 985 deaths.
