Coronavirus: NCDC Confirms 490 New Cases In Nigeria; 142 In Lagos, 60 In FCT, 54 In Bayelsa, Others
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said it has confirmed four hundred and ninety (490) new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nigeria.
Of the newly-confirmed 490 coronavirus cases in the country, 142 were recorded in Lagos, 60 in the FCT, 54 in Bayelsa, 39 in Rivers, 37 in Delta, 30 in Oyo, 26 in Kaduna, 23 in Imo, 19 in Enugu, 17 in Kwara, 11 in Gombe, 10 in Ondo, 8 in Bauchi, 7 in Ogun, 6 in Borno and 1 in Benue.
As of Tuesday, June 16th, 2020, there are 17,148 confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Nigeria. 5,623 patients have so far been discharged, with 455 deaths.
Note: Lagos State recorded 25 fatalities between June 12th and 15th ; they were all announced on June 16th.
