Coronavirus: Nigeria Confirms Another Case
Nigeria, on Tuesday, March 17th, 2020, has recorded another confirmed case of the novel Coronavirus disease in Lagos State, Nigeria.
Flavision learnt that the new case had no connection to the index case – an Italian.
According to a statement by the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, on Tuesday, March 17th, 2020, the latest patient of Coronavirus came into the country with British Airways.
This patient is a 30-year-old Nigerian woman, who returned from the United Kingdom on March 13th, 2020.
The Ministry of Health said she is now receiving treatment under isolation at Mainland General Hospital.
Abayomi said passengers on the same flight with the UK-returnee should stay at home and self-isolate themselves for fourteen (14) days.
Contact tracing of all passengers and all those who may have come in contact with this latest case has commenced,
he said.
