Lagos Records Seventh COVID-19 Death – Health Ministry
The Lagos State Government disclosed that another COVID-19 patient has died, bringing the total number of coronavirus-related deaths in the state to seven.
The Lagos State Ministry of Health via its Twitter handle, @LSMOH, said,
One COVID-19 death was recorded. This brings to seven, the number of COVID-19 related deaths in Lagos State.
The state Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, said the deceased was a 63-year-old male, who had no known travel history or contact with any confirmed case.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday, April 14th, 2020, confirmed twenty five (25) new coronavirus cases in Lagos, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to two hundred and seventeen (217).
The state has also discharged seventy (70) coronavirus (COVID-19) patients, who had tested negative for the virus twice after successful treatment, to reunite with their families and the society at large.
