Coronavirus: Gabon, Ghana Record First Cases
Gabon and Ghana have recorded their first cases of the deadly coronavirus disease. With this development, ten (10) nations have confirmed positive cases in sub-Saharan Africa.
Gabon became the ninth country and Ghana, the tenth to confirm positive cases of COVID-19 in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Also Nigeria, Senegal, Cameroon, South Africa, Democratic Republic of Congo, Togo, Burkina Faso and and Ivory Coast have confirmed cases.
The Government of Gabon, In a statement, said its index case was a 27-year-old Gabonese man, who had returned home from France on Sunday, March 8th, 2020.
Ghana’s health ministry said its two confirmed cases were persons who had recently returned from Turkey and Norway.

These are imported cases of COVID-19. Both patients are currently being kept in isolation and are stable,
