Coronavirus: NCDC Confirms 242 New Cases In Nigeria; 88 In Lagos, 64 In Kano, 49 In Katsina, Others

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said it has confirmed two hundred and forty two (242) new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nigeria.
Of the newly-confirmed coronavirus cases in the country, 88 were recorded in Lagos, 64 in Kano, 49 in Katsina, 13 in Kaduna, 9 in Ogun, 6 in Gombe, 4 in Adamawa, 3 in the FCT, 1 in Ondo, 1 in Oyo, 1 in Rivers, 1 in Zamfara, 1 in Borno and 1 in Bauchi.
As of Monday, May 11th, 2020, there are a total of 4641 confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) reported in Nigeria. 902 patients have been discharged, with 150 fatalities.
On 10th of April 2020, the NCDC erroneously announced 2 new deaths in Nasarawa, while in reality, there was only 1 death in the state on that date.
The centre apologised to the Nasarawa State Government for this error, and pledged to remain committed to providing accurate data.
