Confirmed Coronavirus Cases In Oyo Now 64 – Makinde
The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has said that a total of sixty four (64) people have tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the state.
Makinde, who disclosed this via his official Twitter handle, said the five new confirmed coronavirus cases announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday, May, 9th, 2020, brought the total number to 64.
He tweeted,
The COVID-19 confirmation tests for five suspected cases came back positive.
The cases are from the following local government areas: Ibadan North (two), a foreigner in Surulere, Ibadan North East (one) and Ibadan South West (one).
So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 64.
He admonished the people of the state to call the emergency operations centre, if they found travellers from other states entering their neighbourhoods.
Five new confirmed cases in Oyo State were among the 239 confirmed by the NCDC in 15 states on Saturday, May 9th, 2020.
