Coronavirus: NCDC Confirms 457 New Cases In Nigeria; 137 In Lagos, 76 In FCT, 40 In Plateau, Others
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said it has confirmed four hundred and fifty seven (457) new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nigeria.
Of the newly-confirmed 457 coronavirus cases in the country, 137 were reported in Lagos, 76 in the FCT, 40 in Plateau, 35 in Rivers, 34 in Enugu, 25 in Oyo, 23 in Abia, 12 in Delta, 11 in Edo, 11 in Ebonyi, 10 in Cross River, 10 in Kwara, 9 in Kaduna, 7 in Anambra, 5 in Ogun, 3 in Imo, 3 in Bauchi, 2 in Osun, 2 in Nasarawa, 1 in Kano and 1 in Ekiti.
As of Wednesday, August 5th, 2020 there are 44,890 confirmed coronavirus cases in Nigeria. 32,165 patients have been discharged, with 927 deaths.
