Coronavirus: NCDC Confirms 143 New Cases In Nigeria; 35 In Plateau, 21 In Kaduna, 19 In Lagos, Others
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said it has confirmed one hundred and forty three (143) new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nigeria.
Of the newly-confirmed 143 coronavirus cases in the country, 35 were recorded in Plateau, 21 in Kaduna, 19 in Lagos, 13 in the FCT, 9 in Ebonyi, 7 in Adamawa, 7 in Enugu, 7 in Katsina, 6 in Edo, 5 in Kwara, 3 in Osun, 2 in Anambra, 2 in Kano, 2 in Niger, 2 in Ogun, 1 in Benue, 1 in Borno and 1 in Sokoto.
As of Monday, August 31st, 2020 there are 54,008 confirmed coronavirus cases in Nigeria. 41,638 patients have been discharged, with 1,013 deaths.
