Are you really a BBNaija fan if your messages don’t appear on the television strap? How about we take you through the steps.
Ever wondered how those messages that you see scroll on your TV screen come about? Or have you ever wondered how to get your messages shown on the strap during Big Brother Naija?
No worries! Now, you can air your messages about your Lockdown faves and get everyone to see it. Sounds great right? Keep reading to find out how to.
Here are a few guidelines on how YOU can make it on the strap:
- On Twitter, tweet to Big Brother Naija by tagging @bbnaija or the official hashtag #BBNaija in your message(s).
- On the official Big Brother Naija Facebook page, like/follow the page and comment on the articles posted.
- You can also send an SMS to shortcode this shortcode: 32052. Take note that this option only available in Nigeria.
Super easy, right? 😉
Now, let’s look at some important rules to follow to ensure that your message actually makes it on television. Failure to adhere to these will automatically result IN your message (s) NOT appearing on the strap.
- Use language that is generic for everyone to understand.
- Do not include website links, Instagram links and blog links, etc in your message.
- Do not make any statements that are abusive, constitute hate speech or religious persecution.
- For social profiles, your profile picture CANNOT describe any nudity, sexual reference. Make sure that your profile picture is APPROPRIATE.
- Your social media handles should contain appropriate names, on all social platforms. i.e. Your social media handle and name cannot describe any sexual reference or derogatory terms.
- Also, your messages cannot contain any form of advertisement. Advertisements of any kind are prohibited. i.e. WhatsApp groups, Instagram pages to follow, your products on sale, etc.
Follow all these guidelines and you are sure to see your messages on television. Increase your chances by making sure that you share topic-specific messages during key showtimes. During the Saturday Night Party or Friday Night Arena Games for example.
