The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Makurdi Zonal Office, on Thursday, March 26th, 2020 arraigned a man, identified as Musa Abubakar, at the state High Court for an alleged N10m fraud.
Abubakar was charged on one count bordering on criminal breach of trust to the tune of N10,448,000.00.
The anti-graft agency said that Abubakar committed the crime between October 2018 and December 2018 in Makurdi.

However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecuting counsel for the anti-graft agency, G. G. Chia-Yakua, requested the court for a trial date, and asked for the defendant to be remanded in a prison.
But the defence counsel, I. M. Mari, put forward a bail application on behalf of his client.
Justice M. A. Ikpambese granted bail to the accused person, in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
However, the defendant was remanded in the EFCC custody, until he perfects his bail conditions.
