Fulani Herdsmen Reportedly Kill Many Villagers On Lagos/Benin Expressway, Travellers Trapped (Video)
Reports reaching Flavision from panicking travellers has it that Fulani herdsmen had allegedly blocked Lagos/Benin Expressway since the early morning hours of today, Tuesday, February 25th, 2020. The incident happened along Benin/Ore road in Igbogi village after Okada town in Edo State.
According to the reports, the herdsmen had over two hundred (200) machetes and had killed over ten (10) villagers.
The alleged attackers were not allowing any vehicle to pass, and hence, innocent travellers were trapped on the road.
The travellers shot a video and circulated it on the social media. In the video, numerous vehicles were lined up on the road and many travellers walking around in frustration. They claim even police or army officers could not attempt to pass the herdsmen blockade.
One man claimed that they had been stranded there since 6:00 am and the end was not in sight. He went on to say that they needed help to continue their journey safely. Many voices could be heard in the video begging in unison for help and they complain of hunger, since they had not eaten any food since morning. And even small children were also subjected to such deplorable conditions.
