“You Should Be Ashamed Of Yourself” – Aisha Yesufu Attacks Rotimi Amaechi
On Monday morning, February 17th, 2020, activist, Aisha Yesufu, slammed the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, after he tweeted to debunk reports that he fled for his life when kidnappers attacked a train in Kaduna State on Sunday evening, being February 16th.
There were reports that Amaechi was one of the passengers on an Abuja-Kaduna train that suspected kidnappers attacked. According to eyewitnesses, the kidnappers laid ambush around Mando axis and tried to waylay the passengers who arrived at Rigasa train station around 8:15pm. Passengers on the train alleged that Amaechi was also on the train and that the mobile policemen attached to the Minister saved the situation by quickly dispersing the suspected kidnappers.
The Minister reacted to the news through his Twitter handle, and described it as fake news and that it was completely fabricated.

In spite of his denial, Aisha Yesufu slammed Amaechi saying that he should be “ashamed” of himself as her relatives who were on the same train spotted Amaechi fleeing during the attack.
Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi you should be ashamed of yourself. My sister, my brother and my sister-in-law were in that train. When your convoy scattered and you fled like a new born mouse whom water have been poured on, it was witnessed!. GOVERNANCE IS NOT BY LIES & PROPAGANDA!

Amaechi swallowed the insult and politely responded to her verbal attacks with courteousness:
Madam, I was not attacked, I did not see or escaped attackers, bandits or kidnappers. I did not “fled like a…” Insults & abuses will not change the fact that I was not attacked or escaped attack, in Kaduna last night. BTW, we can still be respectful & courteous here. Goodmornin
