Kano State Police Command yesterday raided a house in Kano, allegedly rented by kidnappers and arrested five suspects.

The incident occurred in the outskirt of Kano metropolis, at Jaba, Ungoggo Local Government, following intelligence report.

Sources revealed that four persons, including a female accomplice was arrested during the operation.

The kidnappers were traced to their hideout by the police after they had abducted 2 people from Zamfara state and kept them in a rented home at Jaba village.

Police spokesman in Kano, Mr. Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa confirmed the incident to Flavision.

Kiyawa, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) explained that the “operation is ongoing.”

Sources informed our correspondent that the policemen have picked up five suspected criminals, while high caliber weapons of war were recovered.
