Carjackers Kill Anambra Man, Dump Body In Forest
A gang of carjackers have allegedly kidnapped, and killed a 45-year-old businessman, Enoch Nwosu, in Anambra State.
It was gathered that the hoodlums attacked Nwosu on the Amichi Road in the Nnewi Local Government Area of the state.
The carjackers attacked the businessman, took him to a forest, where they killed him, and took away his car and dumped him there and left,
a source told our correspondent.
The Anambra State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the incident to Flavision on Thursday.
He said the police had recovered the businessman’s body and his Lexus SUV from the suspects, who were arrested following what he called actionable intelligence.
Mohammed stated,
Following actionable intelligence, police operatives attached to the Ichi Division arrested one Emmanuel Nwafor, 23; and Chukwuebuka Obi, 21, both of Amichi town in the Nnewi South LGA of Anambra State.
The suspects allegedly robbed and killed one Enoch Nwosu, 45, of Enugwu-Aja village, Ichi, who left his house on Saturday in his Lexus 330 SUV with number plate ZBL 38 RL.
The scene of the crime was visited by police detectives, while the body was recovered at the Amichi forest and deposited in a mortuary after it was certified dead by a medical doctor.
