Ramos Scores On His 450th LaLiga Appearance For Real Madrid
The Real Madrid captain, who got the winning goal against Getafe, is the fifth player to reach the figure in the club’s history.
Sergio Ramos continues to make history in a Real Madrid jersey. The captain scored from the penalty spot to clinch the win over Getafe, on the night he made his 450th LaLiga appearance for the club. The president presented Ramos with a commemorative shirt following the final whistle.
The captain becomes the fifth player in Madrid’s history to reach the figure after Raúl (550), Sanchís (523), Casillas (510) and Santillana (461). Ramos has played from the start in 488 of his 450 games, picking up 302 wins. He’s also the top-scoring defender in LaLiga history, with 70 goals (68 for Real Madrid and 2 for Sevilla).

The clash with Getafe was the captain’s 646th fixture as a madridista meaning he now stands alone in fourth place on the club’s all-time appearances list. Ramos has eclipsed Santillana’s record (645) and is now behind just Raúl (741), Casillas (725) and Sanchís (710).
