Mother’s, Baby’s Headless Bodies Discovered In Ile-Ife
The headless bodies of two persons suspected to belong to a mother and her baby have been discovered near a primary school in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
The Osun State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, who confirmed the incident on Wednesday, May 27th, 2020 said the corpses were dumped opposite the AUD Primary School, Isale Agbara, Ile-Ife.
Residents of the area told our correspondent that the corpses must have been dumped at the scene on Tuesday evening.
They explained that the bodies were without clothes, while the baby was wearing a diaper.
When the corpses were found, we contacted officials of the local government council in the town and they have evacuated the bodies and deposited them in the morgue,
Opalola stated.
The PPRO said the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Johnson Kokumo, directed a thorough investigation into the incident with a view to bringing to justice the perpetrators.
She urged members of the public to provide information that would assist the police to get to the root of the matter.
