Coronavirus: NCDC Confirms 288 New Cases In Nigeria; 179 In Lagos, 20 In Kaduna, 15 In Katsina, Others
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said it has confirmed two hundred and eighty eight (288) new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nigeria.
Of the newly-confirmed coronavirus cases in the country, 179 were recorded in Lagos, 20 in Kaduna, 15 in Katsina, 15 in Jigawa, 13 in Borno, 11 in Ogun, 8 in Kano, 7 the FCT, 4 in Niger, 4 in Ekiti, 3 in Oyo, 3 in Delta, 3 in Bauchi, 2 in Kwara and 1 in Edo.
As of Friday, May 15th, 2020, there are 5445 coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Nigeria. 1320 patients have been discharged, with 171 deaths.
NCDC Correction:
On Thursday, May 14th, 2020, 4 cases reported from Plateau and 1 case from Akwa Ibom, were repeat cases.
S, Plateau has a total of 21 coronavirus cases and Akwa Ibom has a total of 16 cases.
The NCDC apologised to the affected state governments for these errors and pledged to remain committed to ensuring accurate reporting.
