Kano Records 24 New COVID-19 Cases, Two Deaths
Kano State Government said it has confirmed twenty four (24) new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections and two fatalities in the state.
The health ministry of the state stated this shortly after the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made an announcement on Wednesday, April 29th, 2020 at night.
With the latest data, the total number of coronavirus cases and deaths in Kano State has risen to 139 and five deaths respectively.
As at 12:05 am, 30th April 2020, 24 new COVID-19 cases confirmed. Total confirmed cases in Kano State are now 139. Two new COVID-19 deaths were recorded,
it tweeted.
The health ministry urged the residents of the state to abide by the Federal Government-ordered lockdown by staying at home and adhering to social distancing, in order to break the circle of community transmission of cornavirus disease (COVID-19).
Recall that Flavision reported that President Muhammadu Buhari ordered a total lockdown of Kano State on Monday, as part of measures to eradicate the spread of the deadly virus in the state.
The President also announced that the Federal Government had deployed a team of experts, to tackle the coronavirus pandemic in the state.
