Despite Lockdown, Naira Marley’s Fans Appear In Court To Monitor Trial
Naira Marley’s fans were around the court on Wednesday, April 8th, 2020, in solidarity with the controversial singer who is standing trial for defying the lockdown order in Lagos State.
The lockdown was ordered in the FCT, Lagos and Ogun states, in government’s effort to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country.
The Lagos State Government charged Marley to the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Ogba for being an attendee of a crowded house party organised by actress Funke Akindele to commemorate the birthday of her husband, Abdul Rasheed Bello, aka JJC Skillz.
At the time of posting this news, Naira Marley’s trial is still ongoing, and journalists are unable to gain access to the court premises.
A swarm of Marleys’s fans, who like to identify themselves as Marlians, were also barred from the court premises by the Police.
