Man Slumps, Dies While Purchasing Foodstuffs In Delta
An unidentified man reportedly slumped and gave up the ghost at Igbudu Market in Warri South Local Government Area (LGA) of Delta State on Tuesday, April 7th, 2020.
Flavision gathered that the deceased man had gone to the market to purchase foodstuffs when he slumped and lost his life.
Eyewitnesses told our correspondent that the incident happened around 9:00 am on Tuesday.
An eyewitness said,
The man was at the market to purchase foodstuffs and after buying tomatoes and pepper, he wanted to buy fresh fish. Somebody directed him to where fresh fish was being sold.
On his way to where he would get the fresh fish, he slumped and died.
The man might have died as a result of hunger. He was moving like someone, who had not eaten for days.
The Delta State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the development to Flavision, when contacted.
The PPRO said,
It is true, but we don’t know what happened; we are not doctors. The man just slumped and died.
