Botafogo Offer Mikel $2m 18-Month Contract
Former Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi, has been offered to join Brazilian Serie A club, Botafogo, on an 18-month contract.
Flavision gathered that Botafogo has continued to pursue the signing of the former Chelsea midfielder.
ESPN journalist, Jorge Nicola, reported that Mikel has been offered an 18-month deal by Botafogo, that would see him earn $2m over the duration of the contract.
If the new deal goes through, Mikel will earn more than the $1.6m he received at Trabzonspor.
Botafogo is aiming to bounce back to greatness in Brazilian football and they just concluded the signing of Japanese player, Keisuke Honda.
