Aminu Ado Bayero Announced As New Emir Of Kano
The Government of Kano State has officially announced Aminu Ado Bayero as the new Emir of Kano, following the recent dethronement of Muhammed Sanusi II.
This announcement came just a few hours after the removal of Muhammadu Sanusi II by the Kano State Government.
Our source at the Kano Emirate Council told Flavision that the dethroned monarch would move to an undisclosed community in Nasarawa State due to his removal.
Kano State Executive Council approved Sanusi’s removal at a special meeting held on Monday, March 9th, 2020.
Since Sanusi ascended the throne, Sanusi, he had always been vocal against harmful practices and traditions in the Northern Nigeria, often times to the disdain of the region’s elites. Professionally, he was at one time, the Governor of Nigeria’s Central Bank.
Headed by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, the executive council claimed that Sanusi was dethroned due to his disregard for laid down rules. But others think the real reason was internal politics.
