A 35-year-year man in Osun State identified as Olusesan Adeyele, who was alleged to have defiled his 3-year-old stepdaughter had blamed Satan for his crime.

Flavision gathered that the victim’s mother recently got married the suspect and moved in with him, after divorcing the victim’s father.

During police interrogation, the suspect said that the victim’s mother left for work and kept her in his care. He reasoned that it was Satan that pushed him to commit statutory rape and that he was remorseful of his deeds.

The Osun State Commissioner of Police, Johnson Kokumo, said when the little girl’s mother returned home, she noticed that her daughter was bleeding from her vagina.

Kokumo said,

Upon receipt of the complaint, police swung into action and arrested the suspect who confessed to the crime during the course of investigation.

He said that the victimized little girl was taken to hospital for medical examination and subsequent treatment, and that she was still receiving treatment, since the medical examination revealed that she suffered from an extensive laceration into her rectum.

The police commissioner said the suspect would be accordingly charged to court after completing the investigation.
