President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, March 2nd, 2020 hailed the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, on the celebration of his 78th birthday. Buhari, in a statement made available by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, joined the Christian community in celebrating the pastor and commending his dedication to God’s service, welfare of the church and consistent preaching and living the gospel for many decades.

He especially praised the positive influence Adeboye had had on Nigeria and its citizens with a wide network that hugely impacts on health, infrastructure and education. The president said he was highly pleased with Adeboye’s extensive contributions to the country’s growth, particularly his straightforwardness in telling the truth to leaders, regular mobilization of his church members to civic responsibilities and unflinching courage in spreading the gospel of Christ to every part of the country, and almost every other nation across the globe.

Moreover, President Buhari remembered his interactions with Adeboye over many years, underscoring his kindness, warmth and dedication to seeing the good in other people, while strongly pursuing the divine vision of creating an enabling environment for living the teachings of the Bible and worship.
