NAPTIP Arrest A Lebanese Human Trafficker
A Lebanese man has been arrested by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) over his alleged engagement in the trafficking of young Nigerian girls to Lebanon for sex slavery.
The suspect was arrested by NAPTIP, as a result of a disclosure made by Omolola Ajayi in a viral video which was shared while she was in captivity.
NAPTIP is expected to hold a press conference on Tuesday February 4, 2020, where more information relating to the arrest would be made available, together with an allegation of a baby sale deal which was allegedly foiled by officers of the agency.
The agency said in its statement;
The Commander, NAPTIP Lagos, Daniel Atokolo will be on hand to speak to the facts of the case at the press conference. The conference will also feature a moderated question and answer session with the Commander and the suspected trafficker.
