Fire engulfed a shopping complex on Martin Street on the busy Lagos Island area of Lagos State.
According to the PUNCH newspaper, fire fighters of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and Lagos State Fire Service have been deployed to quench the inferno.
Our correspondents learnt that numerous affected traders had been scrambling to save some of their belongings from the burning complex.
At the time of this publication, the cause of the inferno and the extent of damage is yet to be determined.
The spokespersons for the fire service and LASEMA, Adeleke Ashimi, and Nosa Okubor, respectively, confirmed the incident to Flavision.
